El Cartel, seemed to be spit out of a subversive Quentin Tarantino movie like From Dusk Til Dawn.
The groups authentic mix of excentric Cuban rhythms paired with the karma of African voodoo and an uncompromising punk attitude even put the very last rows in a deep trance of dance.
The 9 piece band became a great myth in Berlins nightlive performing every weekend in a hidden snakepit under the railway tracks of Friedrichstrasse.
Master of Ceremonies on vocals are Komi Togbonou and the beguiling singer/ actor Carol Schuler. Those unique voices will be supported by a brutal rhythm section, virtuoso guitar riffs of bestand a horn section with killer instinct.
They scream, they sweat, they bleed – with style. And it is impossible to resist their spell.
